Isaías Jiménez

Meet Isaias Jimenez, a dynamic trumpet player and versatile musician based in Mexico City. Originally from California, Isaias moved to Mexico City in 2004 after studying at California State University, Long Beach, eager to immerse himself in one of the world's most vibrant musical landscapes.

Throughout his career, Isaias has made significant contributions to the music scene. He has performed with prestigious orchestras like the Mexico City Philharmonic, the Toluca Symphony Orchestra, and the Morelia Symphony Orchestra. His adaptability and musical range are evident in his collaborations with renowned pop artists such as Juan Gabriel, Natalia Lafourcade, Kalimba, and Raul Di Blasio, to name just a few.

Isaias’s talent extends beyond popular music. In the realm of musical theater, he has participated in nearly 20 Musical Theater productions across Mexico and the United States. His deep love for jazz has also led him to share the stage with jazz legends like Paquito D'Rivera, Wayne Bergeron, Arturo Sandoval, Sherman Irby, and Eddie Gomez. He has also toured with the prestigious Glenn Miller Orchestra.

In 2010, Isaias founded the Latin America Jazz Orchestra, further cementing his role as a leader and advocate for jazz, with the ensemble performing at numerous public and private events across the region.

In recent years, Isaias has expanded his musical horizons into classical music. This journey culminated in the release of his debut solo album, Art in Trumpet, in 2018. The album features his own arrangements for trumpet and piano, offering a glimpse into his artistic vision and technical mastery. He has also been featured as a soloist on IMER OPUS RadioFM.
